Medical Student's Drinks

My addiction to coffees has ceased when I was diagnosed from With Aura-Migraine. However, when I enrolled in the Medical School, I don't have any choice but to love coffees again. Glad enough that my migraine is dancing with me smoothly that I could even drink lotsaaaa coffees anytime.

Triple Medical Celebration: BlogThing Game

Today, November 07, 2009, marks the start of my First Triple Medical Celebration: BlogThing Game.

I just made this as a GAME and not a CONTEST since I want you to feel comfy and enjoy my party.

The BlogThing Game is just very simple. I made this simple, and this is actually the simplest I could think since I got a very hectic schedule in medical school which my second semester in first year has just started last November 04, 2009.

But anyway, here's how you gotta join the BlogThing Game!

All you have to do is to do BlogThing on What Color Should Your Blog or Journal Be?. Simply copy the HTML code which will be auto generated. You can play with the post and codes by changing the background or removing some links or whatever you wanna do as long as you'll be posting the BlogThing on What Color Should Your Blog or Journal Be? Winners will be drawn using Random.Org. How? Three selection will be done for the Winners; these are numbers 11, 24 and 1. All the Official Blog Entry Names/Titles will be listed, Random.Org will be ran, and the first entry randomly selected at number 11 will be the first winner. After which, the previously chosen entry will be taken out and Random.Org will randomly choose again the second winner. This will be the done also for the third winner to have higher chances of winning.

Let's Prevent Infectious Diseases

The Healthcare-Associated Infection (HAI) is one of the best online health care campaign in preventing infectious diseases. And one of the basic yet most important way to prevent infectious diseases is thru proper hand washing.

As a medical student,

it has been one of our tasks to disseminate information - providing even just the basic knowledge to people in living healthily. In fact, the Silliman University Medical Student Association (SUMSA)

had an information drive in prevention of communicable and infectious diseases.

We had been posting cards with the proper procedure on how to wash hands and also, we provided soaps, specifically, Safeguard soaps to the comfort rooms in Silliman University.

Triple Medical Celebration Updates

I forgot to post here that we had already started our Second Semester in our First Year life in Medical School.

**this was what i did on the first day of school.

i just took fotos and eat candies!

It's so sad

to know that we only had 2 weeks spent for a rest/vacation after our first medical stress encounter. Though we, somehow, had adjusted the medical life, but since new topics with added subject loads that we are having now, we more stresses are still coming in our way.

Well, more on those thingy, am here to announce some important updates for my triple medical celebration.

First is that, I am very thankful to those who pledged to sponsor. I haven't finalized the list yet since up to this time, anybody who wishes to sponsor, is still accepted.

Second, tomorrow, November 05, 2009 will be the last day for the sponsorship. So, anybody who wants to sponsor, just ping me now!

And the third is that, the final list of sponsors, the prizes for the sponsors and winners as well as the blogthing game guidelines will be posted this November 07, 2009 at exactly its first minute. This means, at 0001H (Pacific Time), the blogthing game will start until December 01, 2009 at exactly 23:59H (Pacific Time).

Brian Grant on Parkinson's Disease

Brian Wade Grant, one of my fave NBA player has been diagnosed having Parkinson's Disease (PD). It is a degenerative disorder of the central nervous system that often impairs the sufferer's motor skills, speech, and other functions.

Moreover, Parkinson's Disease (PD) is a considered a MOTOR SYSTEM DISORDER characterized by tremor, or trembling in hands, arms, legs, jaw, and face; rigidity, or stiffness of the limbs and trunk; bradykinesia, or slowness of movement; and postural instability, or impaired balance and coordination.

What's worst with PD today is that it has no cure discovered yet. However, medical practitioners usually just give medication for relief of PD symptoms.

Shopping before Classes start!

I had my enrollment, confirmation and registration done last Friday for the 2nd semester of the 1st year in medical school. During my enrollment, I probably left somewhere my pair of eyeglasses. I just noticed it when I got home.

What I did yesterday was that I didn't told my mum 'bout it, I just preferred to shop online some goody eyeglasses and I found new arrivals of eyeglasses that are very pocket-friendly - $8 Prescription Zenni Glasses. Much more I liked with the lost of my eyeglasses was that holidays are coming and a new hippy looks must I be.

Well, I don't need to worry more nor for holidays since I already have my holiday fun eyeglasses with me.
